Other Specialist Services

The specialist tasks will be undertaken following appropriate risk assessments and by our specifically trained care worker. The care worker will be trained in the procedure by a trainer with a relevant qualification, e.g. occupational therapist, speech therapist, or nurse.

Such tasks may include:

1. Assisting with artificial feeding i.e. Supplemental Feeding – a planned additional food or nutrient that is added to the usual diet, often as a powder, formula or tablet.
2. Catheter care i.e. changing catheter bags, monitoring output.
3. Assistance with eye or ear drops.
